WHO I AM

I, Liliana Perez, am a 17 year old Mexican-American high school student. Born in Fresno, California, I am the daughter to two working class parents and a sister to three siblings.

I currently am a senior at Washington Union High School and am a proud member of the Health Institute! This program has opened many doors for me and has made me consider a health profession as a future career. In addition, this class has provided me the opportunity to be a volunteer at my local hospital!

I love reading fiction, traveling, sketching, painting, photography, and going to concerts.  Although I may not be good at half of these things, I still love doing them and I always try to discover new hobbies!

Some of my greatest memories are stepping on New York streets for the first time while others are simply being at home with a good book and drinking tea.

As an incoming freshman, this fall I will be a Bulldog at Fresno State as part of the Smittcamp Family Honors College! My major will be either psychology or English Education. I am extremely excited to be graduating from high school as a valedictorian and as Top 1% of my Class!
